<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak detection device and a leak detection method that can more precisely detect a gas leak in a pressure regulator itself or on the upstream side of the pressure regulator. <P>SOLUTION: A leak detection device 40 is operable to detect a leak of LP gas in an LP gas supply system 1 which supplies the LP gas from LP gas containers 2, 3 to a consumption side, and includes temperature sensors 41-43 which are provided at least at one place on the upstream side of an automatic switching regulator 30 including the automatic switching regulator 30, a temperature drop calculation part which calculates a temperature drop at a temperature detection place of the temperature sensors 41-43 based upon signals from the temperature sensors 41-43, and a leak determination part which determines a leak at the temperature detection place based upon a calculation result of the temperature drop calculation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
