<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergency improver improving detergency, and to provide a detergent composition containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This detergency improver includes a cellulase (A) having an amino acid sequence transubstantiated by at least one kind selected from a group which has a specific amino acid, or wherein one or several amino acids of the amino acid sequence are deleted, substituted and added. The detergent composition contains the detergency improver (B) and a surfactant (C).
