A motor generator of the present invention is cooled efficiently while inhibiting the overall length of a power unit. A motor housing (13) has formed thereon: a bulging section (21) that bulges out, along the whole circumference around the axis thereof, from the inner rim of a motor-side conjoining face (16a) towards an engine (1) side in the axial direction, and that fits inside an engine housing (12); and a cooling path (22) that lets coolant for cooling a stator (31) flow therethrough. The inner circumferential face of the motor housing (13), including the inner circumferential face of the bulging section (21), comes in surface-contact with the outer circumferential face of the stator (31), and the cooling path (22) is arranged at a position deviating in the axial direction from the motor-side conjoining face (16a).
