The technology of the present invention is related to a data distribution apparatus, a data distribution method, and a program, wherein stream data that is deemed necessary at a mobile terminal, from among a plurality of stream data, can be selected and distributed in streams. A reception unit receives a first image generated by picking up an image, sound data generated by collecting sound, and second image data generated in advance before generating the first image. An analysis unit analyzes the sound data and/or the second image data, a creating unit creates distribution data comprising either the first image or the second image, in accordance with the result of the analysis executed by the analysis unit, and a distribution unit distributes the distribution data to the mobile terminal in streams. This invention can be applied, for example, to a video conference apparatus. |
