<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classifying apparatus and method capable of preventing occurrence of the velocity differential of a turning air flow due to the position in a peripheral direction near the inner wall face of a casing which forms a classifying chamber and of precisely classifying the powders, and to provide a method for producing a toner using the classifying method, and the toner produced thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The classifying apparatus BZ comprises a rectifier 9 which is composed by annularly disposing a plurality of louver plates 12 and providing a plurality of slits 12s which are formed between adjacent louver plates in a circumferential direction and introduce a secondary air flow into a classifying chamber 6. The apparatus satisfies the relations of R1<R2 and R3<R4 when the distances from a louver plate inner peripheral downstream side edge 12a and upstream side edge 12b, a louver plate outer peripheral downstream side edge 12c and upstream side edge 12d to a central axis are defined as R1, R2, R3 and R4, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
