<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus system capable of allowing a user to easily determine which one of the functions between the function of an own apparatus and that of another apparatus is being used even when the other apparatus having the same function is connected concerning an electric apparatus such as a network television (TV) receiver. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU of a TV receiver transmits a CEC vendor command to a hard disk recorder (HD recorder) and determines whether or not the HD recorder has a network function in common with the TV receiver. When the existence of the common network function is determined (YES in S4), the CPU automatically displays on a liquid crystal display panel, a function restriction confirmation input picture for allowing a user to set whether the network function of an own apparatus can be used or not concerning the network function (S6).
