MULTILAYERED FILMS FOR THE CONTROLLED RELEASE OF VOLATILE SUBSTANCES ADSORBED IN A SOLID SUBSTRATE, AND USE THEREOF

The present invention describes multilayered devices for the controlled release of volatile liquid substances and the production thereof. The multilayered films are formed by three layers of natural, biodegradable polymer (chitosan), the second layer containing the volatile liquid substance adsorbed in a solid substrate (starch or talc). The films have been tested against Leishmania amazonensis and exhibited anti-leishmaniosis activity.
