Provided is a multilayer weave for nonwoven fabric which fulfills the required characteristics of air permeability and lateral stiffness, ameliorates the problem of fibers sticking into objects, and improves surface density, diagonal stiffness, and support sheet properties. This multilayer weave for nonwoven fabric has at least first warp threads, second warp threads, top surface side weft threads, and running surface side weft threads. The weft threads of all layers from the top surface side weft threads to the running surface side weft threads are woven into the first warp threads, and only the top surface side weft threads are woven into the second warp threads. The first warp threads form two-strand pairs and form one top surface side warp thread structure in the top surface side layer, and the first warp threads and said second warp threads each form pairs of two strands to form the complete structure of a plain weave. |
