Provided in the present invention are a method and device for configuring a wireless frame parameter and transmitting a signal, applicable in solving the technical problem of excessive system scheduling overhead in an indoor, hot spot coverage application scenario. The solution is: a transmitting station configuring the wireless frame parameter, the wireless frame consisting of basic frames, and the basic frames having the frame lengths thereof configured as a transmission cycle or a transmission interval of a broadcast channel; the basic frames consisting of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals, the transmitting station configuring OFDM signal parameters; and the transmitting station transmitting a signal on the wireless frame consisting of the base frames. In the present invention, for the indoor, hot-spot coverage application scenario, by configuring reasonably basic frame length and cyclic prefix, scheduling efficiency is improved and system overhead is reduced, thus increasing system throughput, thereby satisfying the need of increasing volume of data service traffic.
