PURPOSE: A health record exchanging method and a meta data storing system for the same are provided to secure syntactic and semantic interoperability by implementing metadata based on international standards. CONSTITUTION: A meta data storing unit(320) stores a pair of meta data for an item included in a health record and an ID about the meta data. A meta data registering unit(330) generates an ID of meta data having an ID not stored in the meta data storing unit. A document generating unit generates a document by including one or more meta data related to each other. The meta data includes a data element, a data element concept, a value domain, and a conceptual domain.
