<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology which determines timing with which to notify a packet signal preferentially while reducing effects on packet signals notified by other terminal devices. <P>SOLUTION: An acquisition unit 80 measures the position at which the object is present. A setup unit 88 sets a wait time when the measured presence position meets a predetermined condition. The range of wait times which the setup unit 88 can set is narrower than a range of wait times settable by other kinds of terminal devices which can notify a packet signal by carrier sense. A carrier sense unit 90 executes carrier sense over a set wait time.
