<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve retrieval properties of photographs. <P>SOLUTION: The latest shooting date that indicates the newest date among the shooting dates of printed photographs is registered in the database of a flash memory when the photographs are printed. When a memory card is inserted, photographs, among two or more photographs in the memory card, whose shooting date is later than the latest shooting date registered in the database are registered to a display list (S340-370), and the registered photographs are displayed on a photograph selection screen of a LCD.
