<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which can prevent a malfunction due to a user's forgetting to switch the mode of a feed dog. <P>SOLUTION: The sewing machine includes: a sewing machine body 1 having a needle plate 11; a feed dog 35 which is provided in the sewing machine body 1 and is maintained in a feeding mode of being protruded above the top surface of the needle plate 11 for feeding cloth during normal sewing; and a presser bar lifter lever 2 which can be manually switched to a plurality of operation positions by a user so as to move up and down a presser bar 13 for pressing the cloth. In addition, a link mechanism 5 is provided between the presser bar lifter lever 2 and the feed dog 35 in the sewing machine body 1. The link mechanism 5 allows the feed dog 35 to be maintained in a sunk mode of being sunk below the top surface of the needle plate 11 by a mechanical linkage with the manual switching operation of the presser bar lifter lever 2 to an operation position other than the normal sewing operation position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
