<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device and a liquid discharging device, suppressing ink droplets (liquid droplets) from splashing back when flushing while suppressing a devices constitution from being complicated and enlarged. <P>SOLUTION: The maintenance device is used for the discharge head 110 discharging liquid. The maintenance device has: a liquid receiving surface including a water repellent insulating part 120 and the first electrode 121 arranged exposed from the insulating part 120 and receiving liquid discharged from the discharge head 110; a liquid receiving part 116 having the second electrode 122 covered by the insulating part 120 and a discharge opening 116b discharging liquid discharged on the liquid receiving surface to the outside; and a control part controlling voltage applied between the first electrode 121 and the second electrode 122. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
