<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which can attain cooked rice with good taste by leaving a proper amount of bran in polished rice even if the polished rice is deteriorated, and which can be used at ordinary home. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a stirring blade and a stirring motor 104 for stirring polished rice put in a rice cooking pot together with water; a heating unit for heating an inner kettle; and a control unit 131 for controlling the heating unit and stirring motor 104. The control unit 131 sequentially performs, before starting a heating step of heating the rice cooking pot by the heating unit, a deterioration level estimation step of estimating the degree of deterioration of the polished rice; a stirring time derivation step of deriving, from the degree of deterioration of the polished rice estimated in the deterioration level estimation step, a stirring time matched to this degree of deterioration, a first stirring step of stirring the polished rice by the stirring unit, and a soaking step of soaking the polished rice passing through the first stirring step in water in the rice cooking pot after purifying the water in the rice cooking pot by replacing the water in the rice cooking pot or by using an adsorbent material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
