There is provided a method of operating a spatial light modulator "SLM" comprising a plurality of pixels. The method comprises configuring the SLM into a first configuration defining a first subset of pixels arranged to represent an input pattern, representative of an input image, and a second subset of pixels arranged to represent a filter pattern, representative of a reference image. The method further comprises performing an optical correlation between the input image and the reference image and reconfiguring the SLM into a second configuration based on a result of the optical correlation. |
