The lamp comprises an adapter (100) including an embedded wireless network module (110) that carries out wireless communication via a built-in or externally attached radio antenna (112). A computing unit (120) is arranged for controlling the lighting process according to an automation interface such as DALI. An integrated server (130) is arranged for providing a user interface via the network module. The integrated server is programmed such that the lamp is operable with reference to the user interface.
