A film for scattering prevention which comprises a hard coat layer formed on one face of a substrate film (W) and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer and a release sheet successively laminated on the other face of the substrate film, wherein a plurality of independent protrusions are present on the entire surface of the hard coat layer at a constant pitch; and a process for producing the film for scattering prevention which comprises applying a material for forming a hard coat layer (C) using an applicator roll (11) to form a coating layer, rotating an engraving rod (5) having a diameter of 5 to 15 mm on which a plurality of independent depressions (3) are present at a constant pitch in a positive direction with respect to the direction of movement of the substrate film while the engraving rod is brought into contact with the coating layer formed above so that a plurality of independent protrusions substantially corresponding to the depressions (3) are formed on the surface of the coating layer at a constant pitch and, thereafter, curing the coating layer obtained above. When the above film is attached to window panes of buildings for safety in case of earth quake, formation of interference fringes can be suppressed. |
