PURPOSE: A short-pulse current generator for high current is provided to output an impulse current waveform for high current by controlling a plurality of switches only with a single trigger signal. CONSTITUTION: A pulse generator generates an impulse current. A switch controller transmits a driving signal to the pulse generator. A voltage adjusting circuit(110) receives an AC voltage. A high voltage transformer(120) raises the transmitted voltage to a high voltage. A voltage doubler(130) converts the increased voltage into a DC high voltage. A high voltage charging circuit(140) charges the DC high voltage. A silicon control rectifier(SCR) switch(220) generates a trigger signal. An SCR controller(240) controls the operation of the SCR switch.
