Motor assembly for a domestic appliance powered by an electric motor

The motor assembly (1) has a housing (2), a motor cap (5) and a blower motor (4), which is arranged in inner side of the housing and the motor cap in mounting condition. A damping element (3) is arranged between the housing and the blower motor and is equipped for damping the vibrations transmitted from the blower motor to the housing. The blower motor has a housing cover and the damping element has an inner contour, which corresponds to an outer contour of the housing cover.
