The invention relates to a thixotropic composition, preferably in the form of a hydrogel, comprising a film-forming polymer, gellan and/or agar, a physiologically compatible metal salt and water. The invention also relates to a receptacle containing the thixotropic composition. The invention further relates to an applicator containing the thixotropic composition. The invention also relates to a process for preparing a thixotropic composition, wherein a film-forming polymer, gellan and/or agar, a physiologically compatible metal salt and water are mixed with one another, preferably to obtain a thixotropic hydrogel. |
