Rotary hearth furnace

The rotary hearth furnace has an outer wall and an inner wall, where both walls define a furnace chamber which has treatment zone. A heating device (18) is provided for heating the furnace chamber. An annular rotary hearth (5) and a rotary drive are equipped with the rotary hearth furnace. A frame of an additional heating device (24a) is arranged between two horizontal planes (17). The additional heating device heats the workpieces (15) held in the horizontal planes.
