PURPOSE: A device and a method for inspecting a welding tow grinding unit are provided to automatically inspect a welding tow grinding unit. CONSTITUTION: A device for inspecting a welding tow grinding unit comprises a profile detector(110), a welding tow grinding inspecting unit(120), and an user interface(130). The profile detector obtains a profile of a welding tow grinding unit formed on a welding surface. The welding tow grinding inspecting unit performs a circle fitting by using the profile out of a line comprising the welding surface after arranging the profile of the welding tow grinding on a XY coordinate system. The welding tow grinding inspecting unit detects an average circle calculated by the circle fitting and an inspection value based on a distance of the line. The user interface displays the inspection value detected by the welding tow grinding inspecting unit.
