PURPOSE: A reinforced earth retaining wall and a construction method thereof are provided to stably support a block for an earth retaining wall against external forces and to efficiently drain a large amount of water. CONSTITUTION: A reinforced earth retaining wall comprises an anchor unit, a block assembly, a net(300), and a block fixing unit. The anchor unit is installed on a slope. The block assembly comprises multiple blocks for a retaining wall and an upper cover. Each block comprises first and second body portions(130,120). The first body portion has one or more through holes(131,133) filled with aggregate. The second body portion is extended from the first body portion and has a depressed portion(123). The net is arranged on the depressed portion of the block and is filled with stone(1). The block fixing unit comprises first and second fixing portions and a steel wire(221). The first fixing portion is coupled to the anchor unit. The second fixing portion fixes the block. The steel wire connects the first and second fixing portions to each other. |
