<p>PURPOSE: An adaptive error correction device based on a network-on-chip is provided to determine a size of a usable error correction code according to a bit number of a signal which is received in a decoder. CONSTITUTION: A encoder(100) receives flit of K bit from a transmission intellectual property. The encoder encodes the flit of the received K bit as data of N bit. A decoder(200) receives the data of the N bit. The decoder decodes the received data of the N bit as the flit of the K bit. The decoder includes an error correction circuit for correcting errors about the data of the N bit. The error correction circuit applies an adaptive error correction code having variable error correction capability according to the N bit of the received data.
