PURPOSE: A Secondary battery is provided to prevent explosion of a secondary battery by quickly deriving generated gas to a vent plate in case of internal short circuit, thereby remarkably improving internal short of a secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A Secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly(10) comprising electrodes on both sides of a separator; a case(20) accepting the electrode assembly; and a cap plate(30) combining to an opening of the case by comprising electrode terminals(41,42) which are connected to the electrode assembly. The cap plate forms a round part(25) to a connection part of the case. The round part is concavely formed toward the case. The round part has a first radius of curvature and is connected to inside the case by a tangent line. |
