PURPOSE: A composition for forming porous support is provided to provide excellent porous support with excellent mechanical properties, dimensional stability and chemical resistance. CONSTITUTION: A composition for forming porous support comprises polyamic acid or polyimide having a repeating unit manufactured from aromatic diamine and dianhydride which comprise at least one functional group existing in the ortho location of an amine group, and organic solvent. The organic solvent is selected from ketone, which is selected from dimethylsulfoxide, N-methyl-2-pyrroidone, N-methyl pyrrolidone, N,N- dimethylformamide, N,N- dimethylacetamide, γ- butyrolactone, cyclohexanone, 3-hexanone, 3-heptanone and 3-octanone, and combinations thereof.
