PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing saw blades are provided to prevent damage to the top surface of a mold during manufacture of segments and to enable stable and quick manufacture of segments. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing saw blades comprises a feeding unit, a distributing unit, and a compressing unit. The feeding unit stores metal powder and drops the metal powder to a space(30) formed in a mold. The distributing unit comprises a case which is installed to have a seesaw motion and accommodate diamond particles and has a plurality of holes arranged corresponding to the shape of segments at the bottom, an injection path vertically formed from the bottom holes of the case to pass diamond particles injected to metal powder, and a shutter plate which is moved in a specific direction to transport diamond placed in a setting hole to the holes of the case.
