PURPOSE: A method for adaptively streaming user content by an external terminal through a network and a device thereof are provided to generate an MPD about user content and transmit the generated MPD to a reproduction target terminal of the user content. CONSTITUTION: A medial management server(220) generates content segments of received content according to each bit rate based on features of a terminal and a network state. The media management server generates an MPD(Media Presentation Description) of a profile that a terminal(210) can analyze. The media management server transmits the generated MPD to the terminal. The terminal reproduces corresponding content using the received content segments.
