PURPOSE: A method for cutting a work piece using a wire saw is provided to prevent unnecessary stress or heat in a cut part of a work piece and vibration during cutting. CONSTITUTION: A method for cutting a work piece using a wire saw comprises the steps of: supplying first abrasive grain slurry(6) to two positions of a saw wire(1) spaced in the transverse direction, moving the saw wire and/or a work piece(W) relative to each other so that the work piece contacts to the saw wire from the top between the two positions of the saw wire and cutting the work piece is started, and supplying second abrasive grain slurry to a part of the saw wire clamped with the work piece.
