PURPOSE: A language learning system of a portable terminal using examples and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to input an answer by selectively mixing characters, words, or sentences in the examples which a plurality of the characters, words, or sentences is included, thereby obtaining writing learning effect. CONSTITUTION: A database(20) stores examples and voice data. An input module(60) outputs a selection signal of at least one of characters, words, or sentences in the examples. An output module(50) outputs the voice data of the characters, the words, or the sentences selected by the input module. A display module(10) outputs questions and the examples stored in the database. A control module(30) controls that the selected questions and examples which are searched and extracted in the database are outputted in the display module according to an input signal of the input module.
