PURPOSE: A personal radiation dosimeter is provided to easily confirm whether carrying a personal radiation dosimeter or not and check safety and danger signals on a real time basis by having a biosensor sensing a heartbeat. CONSTITUTION: A personal radiation dosimeter comprises a box type housing(102), a power supplying unit, a central process unit, a key input device, a DC-DC convertor, a boosting unit, a radiation detecting unit, a radiation detecting signal processing unit, a display window(118), an alarming unit, an LED flash, a biosensor, and a wireless communication module. The central processing unit controls a personal radiation dosimeter in accordance with a preset program and calculates a radiation amount and a radiation accumulated amount during a period carrying the personal radiation dosimeter when the biosensor senses a heartbeat. The radiation detecting unit detects the radiation according to control signals of the central processing unit. The radiation detecting signal processing unit transmits signal processed signal to the central processing unit after processing the radiation detecting signals detected by the radiation detecting unit. The display window displays the radiation amount and the radiation accumulated amount of the detected data and the LED flash emits lights according to the control signals of the central processing unit when inputting a key. The biosensor senses the heartbeat of a user and transmits a sensed heartbeat value to the central processing device.
