GLASS OPTICAL FIBER WITH INSERTED METALLIC MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A glass optical fiber in which a metallic rod is inserted and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to insert a metallic rod into a glass optical fiber and to arrange the metallic rod in a periodic shape. CONSTITUTION: A glass optical fiber in which a metallic rod is inserted comprises a glass and more than one of metallic rod which is inserted into the glass. The metallic rod and the glass have melting points which are close to each other. A manufacturing method of the glass optical fiber in which metal is inserted comprises next steps: condensing one end of a first glass pipe; inserting metal into the first glass pipe through the other end of the first pipe; reducing inside the first glass pipe by heating the first glass pipe and the metal; and extends by forming the first glass pipe and metal into one body.
