PURPOSE: A dust collecting filter and an oil mist dust collector using the same are provided to improve collecting efficiency of the collector and to maintain the collecting speed of the collector. CONSTITUTION: A dust collecting filter(40) is made of a metal material. The metal material is in the shape of a coil-shaped long string. The width of the metal material is in a range between 0.5 and 1.5mm. The thickness of the metal material is in a range between 0.2 and 0.5mm. The dust collecting filter is made of stainless steel. An oil mist dust collector includes an inlet and an outlet. A first filter is arranged at the inner lower part of the oil mist dust collector. A second filter and a third filter are arranged at the upper part of the first filter. The first filter is the dust collecting filter.
