The staircase has two parallel stringer boards (1, 2) between which upper and lower steps (3a, 3b) are arranged, where the steps are spaced in regular manner. Two hinge fittings are arranged at corners of articulated parallelogram shaped lateral guardrails (4, 5), so that the guardrails are movable between folded position in which the guardrails folded on the respective stringer boards and utilization position in which posts (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b) are perpendicular to a plane of the steps, in a single plane perpendicular to the steps and containing the stringer boards.
