The coupler has an articulation with two metal parts (10, 20) secured to an input shaft and a secondary shaft, respectively. The parts are attached to each other by laminated elastic material blocks (30), which are formed of alternating layers (30A) of an elastic material and layers (30B) of a flat material whose stiffness is higher than that of the elastic material. Strips of the blocks are directed radially so as to have a high torsional stiffness while maintaining axial and conical flexibility. The metal parts are made of steel and aluminum.
