<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material of organic photoelectric conversion element used for manufacturing an organic photoelectric conversion element having high photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The material of organic photoelectric conversion element contains a polymer compound and a solvent, and the weight concentration of oxygen in the material of organic photoelectric conversion element is 25 ppm or lower. The polymer compound preferably contains a structure unit represented by formula (1). (1)(In the formula, Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>are the same or different and represent a trivalent aromatic group, Z represents -O-, -S-, -C(=O)-, -CR<SP POS="POST">1</SP>R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>-, -S(=O)-, -SO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-, -Si(R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>)(R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>)-, -N(R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>)-, -B(R<SP POS="POST">6</SP>)-, -P(R<SP POS="POST">7</SP>)- or -P(=O)(R<SP POS="POST">8</SP>)-. n represents 1 or 2.
