<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preprocessing method by which after an inclusion in steel is extracted from an iron matrix, the inclusion can be made observable and its particle size distribution is measured accurately. <P>SOLUTION: A steel sample is dissolved and the residue is filtered through a filter. A great amount of free carbon included in the residue is subjected to low temperature ashing processing to remove the most of them. The method is used as preprocessing to analyze the inclusion so that only inclusion can be accurately observed and the particle size distribution of the inclusion can be accurately measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
