<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel high in definition and high in efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma display panel includes: a front plate comprising a dielectric layer that is formed to cover display electrodes formed on a substrate and a protective layer that is formed on the dielectric layer; and a back plate arranged to face the front plate to form a discharge space, including address electrodes formed in the direction of intersecting with the display electrodes and provided with barrier ribs for partitioning the discharge space.
