<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact capable of reliably providing electrical contact and mechanical contact with another member. <P>SOLUTION: A contact 31 is formed by coupling a fixed piece 32 and a movable piece 33, which are approximately parallel, with a coupling portion 34. A movable point-of-contact portion 35 configured to let the movable piece 33 contact a flexible printed board, for example, is provided on a lower surface of a tip portion of the movable piece 33. An operation receiving portion 36 configured to let a cam portion press the movable piece 33 so as to make the movable piece 33 lean is provided at a rear-end portion of the movable piece 33. A fitting portion 37 in which a housing of a connector fits is formed at a front-end portion of the fixed piece 32. In the contact 31, a concavo-convex shape is formed so as to extend along a width direction of the contact 31, on a point-of-contact contact surface 35a which is a contact surface of the movable point-of-contact portion 35. A lower surface of the fitting portion 37 is a welding surface 37a, i.e., a contact surface which contacts a bottom surface of the housing.
