<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual identification device, an individual identification method and a program that are capable of identifying an individual product based on characteristics appearing on a printed part of the product. <P>SOLUTION: An individual identification device 1 performs color separation of an image read from a printed part of a reference product 2 (reference image data 21) and an image read from a printed part of a product 3 to be identified (object image data 31), and calculates a correlation value for each color from color distribution data 2R, 2G and 2B (3R, 3G and 3B) for each color. The device 1 sets a reading range B for the object image data to be greater than a reading range A for the reference image data, and cuts out a region 33 having the same shape and area as the reference image data from the read range B to calculate the correlation value of the color distribution data for each color for each cut-out region while sequentially moving a cut-out position. The device 1 then determines whether or not variations of the cut-out position at which the correlation value becomes maximum are included within a prescribed allowable range for each color, and determines that the product 3 and the reference product 2 are the same individual when the variations are included therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
