<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel curable ink containing a polymer-coated magnetic nanoparticle. <P>SOLUTION: The ultraviolet (UV) curable gel ink contains at least a magnetic metal nanoparticle at least coated, one curable monomer, a radiation-activated initiator to initiate the polymerization of the curable constituting components in the ink, and a gelling agent. The ink may contain an optional coloring agent and one or more optional additives.
