<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for properly determining vehicle rollback condition. <P>SOLUTION: In an uphill state where a vehicle runs in an uphill direction, it is determined as a vehicle rollback condition if the vehicle in a no driving force condition generating no driving force in the uphill direction and the acceleration dVw of vehicle wheels (i.e., the acceleration of the vehicle) is in an acceleration direction. In this way, without being affected by the weight of a load on the vehicle, it can be exactly determined whether the vehicle is in a rollback condition. Accordingly, based on the results of exact determination of a vehicle rollback condition, engine restarting can be performed in idle stop control, and brake force can be increased in slope stop control, so as to prevent the vehicle rollback. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
