<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an appropriate link speed according to communication data. <P>SOLUTION: A client device 10 which transmits data in units of packets to a print server 30 connected to a network 22, comprises: a packet analysis unit 16 for analyzing packets including data to acquire port information indicating a network port of the print server 30; a link speed determination unit 18 for idenfitying the type of the data based on the port information acquired by the packet analysis unit 16 to determine a link speed at which the data is to be transmitted according to the type of the data; and a communication unit 12 for transmitting the data to the print server 30 at the link speed determined by the link speed determination unit 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
