This vehicle is configured in a manner so that a driver can select either a normal mode corresponding to normal driving or an eco-mode for driving while prioritizing fuel economy compared with the normal mode. In the eco-mode, the vehicle driving force corresponding to the same amount of accelerator operation is set in a manner so as to be smaller than that in the normal mode. A driving force setting unit sets the vehicle driving force on the basis of the amount of accelerator operation by the driver as detected by an accelerator operation detection unit. When the eco-mode is selected by the driver, the driving force setting unit sets the vehicle driving force on the basis of the detected amount of accelerator operation in a manner so that the vehicle driving force corresponding to the same amount of accelerator operation is greater when driving in reverse than when the vehicle is driving forward.
