PURPOSE: A usage method of a grain-hydrocolloid composite produced by a heat-moisture treating process is provided to offer the improved satiety to users by being mixed with food. CONSTITUTION: A grain-hydrocolloid composite is obtained by the following steps: mixing grains and hydrocolloid in a ratio of 90:10 to obtain a blend; and processing the blend with heat and the moisture to obtain the composite. The grains are high amylose corn containing grains. The hydrocolloid is a non-ionic gum selected from guar gum, konjac, locust bean gum, and tara gum. |
