PURPOSE: An uplink time synchronization management method and apparatus thereof are provided to accurately maintain an uplink synchronization state according to an application state used by a terminal. CONSTITUTION: An RF(Radio Frequency) unit(63) receives a wireless signal. A processor(61) connects to the RF unit. The processor starts a time synchronous timer which controls the maintenance time of uplink synchronization. The processor receives an expiration request message from a base station when the time synchronization timer is operated. The processor terminates the time synchronization timer.
