<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a heating value inside a device and to reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device for outputting a high voltage power on the basis of setting signals of a prescribed output voltage and frequency includes: a temperature detection part for detecting a temperature inside the power supply device; a triangular wave generation part for generating triangular waves for which the frequency is changed corresponding to the temperature obtained by the temperature detection part; a sine wave generation part for setting an output frequency by the setting signal of the frequency, setting an amplitude of an output voltage by the setting signal of the output voltage, and generating signals in a prescribed sine wave shape; a comparison part for comparing the signals of the triangular wave shape generated by the triangular wave generation part and the signals of the sine wave shape generated by the sine wave generation part; a switching drive part for amplifying signals on the basis of the output signals obtained from the comparison part; and a high voltage transformation drive part for performing transformation drive to a high voltage on the basis of the output signals from the switching drive part.
