<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device, an IC card, a communication method applied to the portable electronic device which can efficiently execute generation processing of random numbers. <P>SOLUTION: A portable electronic device 1 has random number generation means 11a, storage means 13a, communication means 15, and random number command processing means 11. The random number generation means 11a generates random numbers. The storage means 13a stores the random numbers generated by the random number generation means 11a. The communication means 15 performs data communication with an external device 2. When the random number command processing means 11 receives a command requiring random numbers from the external device 2 via the communication means 15, the random number command processing means 11 transmits the random numbers stored in the storage means 13a to the external device 2 via the communication means 15 as a response to the command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
