<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate adaptation to special recording operation and special reproducing operation. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor integrated circuit includes a reproducing ECC circuit 18, a recording ECC circuit 17, a host interface circuit 19, and a memory control circuit 20, and the memory control circuit 20 includes an arbitration circuit 200 and a count circuit 202. The arbitration circuit 200 arbitrates ECC access with higher preset priority than access of a host interface with host equipment 2. The count circuit 202 counts the number of times of output of an ECC request, and generates a count end signal when the counted number of times of output matches the predetermined number of times of output in operation mode. The arbitration circuit 200 changes the priority level to arbitrate the host with higher priority level than ECC. The predetermined number of times of output corresponds to the number of times of output of an ECC access request needed for access to a semiconductor memory 22 in relation with data of one ECC block or an integral multiple thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
